5. Using SCRAM as a Developer

This chapter is aimed at providing the information necessary to enable

developers to work efficiently in a <SMALL>SCRAM</SMALL> project environment.

Developers in the CMS environment develop against central releases of

the CMS software projects. Working in a <SMALL>SCRAM</SMALL> developer area, they

can check out source code from CVS and compile/test using libraries

from the central releases. In this manner, developers can work on

their specific area without having to check out all project sources.
