\section{The Silicon Strip Tracker Assembly}
\label{sec:assembly}

From the contruction point of view the different tracker sub-detectors are organized in
the following way. \\
TOB is assembled inserting 'rods' into a mechanical structure which holds them and supports
their services. Rods have half of the TOB lenght and are inserted half from the 'z+ side'
(called TOB+) and half from the 'z- side' (TOB-). The TOB services are routed outside of its
volume from the two flanges where fibres, pipes and cables are $90^\circ$ tilted
towards the tracker support tube where they are fixed and routed outside of the tracker at its
two ends.\\
The TIB is divided into two completely independent parts: TIB+ and TIB-. Each shell is conected
with an identical one to build a complete cylinder (Layer); then the four TIB layers are
inserted one into the other starting from outside to inside. The TIB services exit the
detector volume from the external flange, they are routed radially toward the TIB Layer 4
anf then bent on the TID service cylinder up to the patch panel (called 'Margherita').\\
Three mechanically separated rings are assembled together to form a TID disk; three disks are
inserted in a carbon fibre cylinder which hold them together with thee TID services.
The preassembled TID+/- is attached to the TIB+/- and it is also used as support for all
the services. \\
When each TIB/TID half detector is assembled and validated, it is inserted into the TOB.
Then it is connected to the fiber ribbons, pipes and power cables which are routed outside the
Tracker Support Tube following the path of the TOB ones.\\
TEC disks are made by 'petals'. Also in this case the services run on a TEC disk towards the
Tracker Support Tube where they follow the same path. Two TEC (also called TEC+ and TEC-)
are inserted in the Support Tube when the barrel part is assembled.\\
